The News and the first 15 weeks....
Why Glyder? We think every baby needs a nickname until the appropriate name is figured out...to call him BABY is not enough for us. Ian picked the nickname almost 25 years ago. We often joke about making Glyder the baby's middle name...which to us sounds like a fantastic joke.
After the surgeries that I had in 2008 and the beginning of 2009, I need to visit the Dr's office more often. Preferably every two weeks. It is standard procedure, nothing special, but it is mostly to check on Glyder's progress. He has a strong heartbeat of 176, and there are no complications thus far. Unless, we can consider weight gain a complication :/... The picture below was taken during our week 15 follow up. I don't remember seeing anything because I had too many tears in my eyes....Glyder has more of a Human shape.
I showed Ian the picture and he said: HE LOOKS LIKE ME!...he even sucks his thumb!

Here I am 15 weeks.
We are considering Liam as a first name which is William, from Gaelic to English. It means determined protector. For a middle name, we have decided...uhm.....NOTHING!...we are still searching for a meaningful middle name. It might be Italian, Czech or Quechua.
The tech confirmed my thought, and Ian's prayer....IT IS A BOY!....no more mooning the technicians and the parents, Liam allowed us all to see that he is indeed a healthy baby boy. We are definitely excited about having a boy.
After the ultrasound, the Dr. came into the room to let us know that everything he saw showed a perfect and healthy baby.

Liam's Second Trimester....and first big ultrasound.
The way I look at 19 weeks and 6 days.

Here is my little face...and my pretty smile.
Baby Glyder is almost 20 weeks, and half way into development. Today (10/15) we had "The big Ultrasound" which is the one done to measure his organs and bones. Ian and I felt very proud of our baby, because he did not need any poking to move. The tech mentioned that most babies are lethargic, and tend to require a little help to change positions. Glyder was a little bit…HYPERACTIVE (Scary)...She also said that we had the most cooperative baby all day!....AND THE FIRST BOY OF THE DAY!
